I drink coffee just about every day. It isn’t just the caffeine; I actually enjoy the taste of black coffee. If you drink coffee at work, you likely have spilled it at some point. And when you spill it, it can never be a small drip, its always enough to leave a massive brown stain on your desk or papers. I know you know what I am talking about. Even if I move my papers, I still manage to get drips on them.
You know what is Brilliant? A designer by the name of Designer: Kim Keun Ae gives us a solution to the problem. He took an every-day mug and inserted a small grove around the cup. This allows the coffee drips to fall into that crevices rather than make its way to your papers. As you can see, I am all about this coffee mug, but I am curious as to why it took so long for someone to design this. It seems like such a simple and obvious concept, yet I am infatuated with it. I guess inventions are made when theres a need for the product.
