DIY Semi-homemade Lotion

diy bottled lotionI’ve never tried to make my own lotion before today, but I would say the experience went well. Although, this is a semi-homemade lotion I still plan on making my own from scratch someday; I just have to do a bit more research. It seems like some people like using coconut oil with baby lotion and vitamin E lotion but I wanted this to be more fragrant. None of the vitamin E lotion that I found was scented and I didn’t want to mess with essential oils just yet. So, I substituted coco butter. I thought about using almond oil but I’ve never used that before and didn’t want to risk the experiment just yet. I know that all three of these are very hydrating, which is what I was going for. I like that this lotion isn’t heavy or greasy so it doesn’t leave a film on my skin. It seems to be working well so far and smells pretty good πŸ™‚

    • Thank you! I appreciate both the comment and the addition to the blogs you read. You have quite a list there πŸ™‚

      • hehe Yes. I removed any that hadn’t posted this year. It was just filling up space and I would go visit them sometimes and it find they had only posted once last year as well. I suppose some people just don’t have time to do it

      • This is true. Some great blogs go unused due to lack of time and it makes me sad but I understand that people are busy and priorities are important. Most people use it as a hobby anyway.

      • It is a shame. I am one of the few people who, due to pain levels, has more time to do it, but even I don’t have time sometimes.

I do prefer it when people say that they can’t do it for it a while. I don’t know if you have followed Dotty Headbanger? She went from daily to non-existent and I worry about her as she has never been mentally stable.
