A waterspout is basically a tornado that’s not associated with a supercell and occurs over water. Coincidentally, the Balearics are also where you can find some of the clearest water in the world.

  1. Thank you for this. I was a weather forecaster in the Navy and this sort of stuff really interests me. These are beautiful pictures. The lenticular clouds are exceptionally fascinating. I forecasted in an area near the Sierra Nevada mountain range and saw many of them quite often. You should take the time to learn how they are created it’s really fascinating.
